Bug Evolution Areas Guide: Which Area Am I In?

Recognize Bug Evolution areas by the banner that names them: Sunny Meadow carries no level tag, while Whispering Woods shows Lv 15+ and boss fight cues.

Bug Evolution tells you which area you are in with the banner that appears when you enter it. Read the place name on that line: SUNNY MEADOW shows the name on its own, while WHISPERING WOODS Lv 15+ adds a level tag after it.

Read the place name, not the pop-up

The banner's own text names the area. Some banners attach a level tag to that name: Whispering Woods displays Lv 15+, and the Sunny Meadow banner shows no level tag. Read the whole line so you can tell the area name from the tag attached to it.

A quest-complete toast can appear at the same moment as the area banner, so look for the place name rather than any pop-up. When the Sunny Meadow banner appeared, the toast read "QUEST COMPLETE! Bite 14 Ants +42 coins" — the area name is the text that names a place, not the quest message.

Sunny Meadow

  • Banner: "SUNNY MEADOW"
  • Level tag: none shown on the banner

Whispering Woods

  • Banner: "WHISPERING WOODS Lv 15+" — the place name plus a Lv 15+ level tag.
  • Ability slot: the right-hand ability slot read "LAY EGG" in this area.

Boss cues in Whispering Woods

A boss fight can start in Whispering Woods. When it does, these appear together:

  • a red banner reading "BOSS FIGHT - WHISPERING WOODS"
  • the top bar switching to a boss timer
  • a skull marker on the minimap
  • the boss itself named EMPEROR SCORPION

After the kill, a banner reads "THE EMPEROR SCORPION FELL!" and a trait-selection screen appears with "LEVEL 153 - CHOOSE A TRAIT".
