Bug Evolution Challenges Guide: Quests, Bosses and Level Goals

Bug Evolution lists its goals in the right-hand QUEST panel: coin-reward tasks with live progress counters, level-based goals, area level requirements and boss fight banners.

Quick answer

Bug Evolution lists its goals in the right-hand QUEST panel under the QUICK, HOURLY and TRACKING tabs. Each entry pairs a task with a coin reward and a progress counter, and reaching the target triggers a QUEST COMPLETE! toast that names the task and its coins.

Where the goals appear

The QUEST panel sits on the right side of the HUD and lists the goals you are working on under the QUICK, HOURLY and TRACKING tabs. Each line pairs a task with a coin amount and a counter, so you can see your progress against the target directly on the HUD. The capture below opens on that panel: QUICK-tab goals with their coin rewards and counters, and later in the same clip the Whispering Woods boss fight announces itself with its own banner and timer.

What the goals ask you to do

The goal text names the action to perform, so the panel itself tells you what to do. The entries reviewed covered biting, eating and survival:

Goal shown in the panelCoin rewardProgress
Bite 14 Ants+4212/14
Eat 17 Crickets+564/17
Stay alive for 7 minutes+572:41 / 7:00

Timed goals show a clock instead of an item count: the entry Stay alive for 7 minutes +57 (2:41/7:00) shows 2:41 against the 7:00 target.

A level-based goal also appeared as a completion toast: QUEST COMPLETE! Reach Level 30 +150 coins, shown while the HUD already read LV 149.

What happens when a goal is completed

When a counter reaches its target, a toast confirms it with the task and the coins it awards, for example QUEST COMPLETE! Bite 14 Ants +42 coins. In the session shown, when the "Stay alive for 7 minutes" goal completed, it was replaced by Eat 19 Beetles +64 coins.

Area banners and level requirements

Entering a region shows an area banner with its name, and some banners also state a level requirement. SUNNY MEADOW appeared with no requirement, while WHISPERING WOODS showed Lv 15+, the level listed for that area. The areas guide covers the regions themselves.

Boss fights are flagged on screen

A boss encounter announces itself with a red banner: BOSS FIGHT - WHISPERING WOODS. When it starts, the top bar switches to a boss timer and a skull marker appears on the minimap. The enemy is named EMPEROR SCORPION and carries an IN COMBAT marker.

After the kill, a banner reads THE EMPEROR SCORPION FELL! and a trait selection screen opens with LEVEL 153 - CHOOSE A TRAIT, offering options such as SKITTER: Sprint costs -25% stamina, Health +4% and THICK CARAPACE: Max Health +12%.

The NIGHT HUNT banner

A NIGHT HUNT - 2x XP banner alternates with daytime play. Watch for it alongside the QUEST panel when you want to know when that bonus is showing.
